Health Education

After completed renovations, the Health Education Center is now open

After completing our renovations, the Health Education Center in MOB West, Suite 145, is now open again. Come visit us!

The health education center is a wonderful place to find a variety of health resources. We provide our members with information in the forms of videos, DVDs, audiotapes, CDs, books and pamphlets. We even offer computerized literature searches, all for free. In the health education center, you will find educational materials on many health topics - from asthma to back care, from baby care to menopause.

While the center at the main campus is closed, members are encourage to visit the Stein campus Health Education Center, which will remain open during main campus renovation. Members can also continue to register for classes by calling the main center's telephone number at (707) 393-4167.

The Stein Health Education center is located at 3925 Old Redwood Hwy, in MOB 4, Suite 144. Popular resources from the main campus library, including books and DVDs, will be moved to the Stein Health Education Center and available for member check-out.

You are invited to use the health education center as a quiet place to read or watch our videos. You can borrow books, tapes, CDs, DVDs, and videos from the Center, or purchase books at a discount to members. All of our pamphlets are free.

The health education department also offers classes. Many people learn best in a group when they can ask questions and meet other people who are dealing with the same issues. Classes can work particularly well when you are trying to learn new behaviors, such as how not to smoke. We highly recommend Kaiser's personalized Healthy Lifestyles programs. In addition, your physician's team includes a Clinical Health Educator who can talk with you about your individual health education needs.
