4th Annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration
Almost 200 Participants Help to Make the Health Fair a Great Success!

Kaiser Permanente was a proud sponsor of the 4th Annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration which took Place at Finley Park on Sunday, April 30. Part of the Cinco de Mayo Celebration was a Health Fair where participants were welcomed by Kaiser Santa Rosa Volunteers who invited them to come in and get blood pressure checks, body fat testing and glucose testing (performed by Sutter Medical Center and St. Joseph's). The results were reviewed with participants by our Health Assessment volunteers who also educated them on healthy eating and active living. In addition Kaiser Santa Rosa provided a women's health focus. A 10 minute video was provided for private viewing on how to perform self breast examinations. Breast models were also available for hands on experience of self breast exams. Other informational booths provided by Kaiser Santa Rosa included: mental health, nutrition, neurology and health plan information. Almost 200 participants were screened and many more enjoyed the resources provided by Kaiser Santa Rosa and other health organizations. |
