Peddling for Domestic Violence Prevention
Domestic Violence Awareness Month
A cycling contingent of Kaiser Permanente Marin/Sonoma physicians and employees participated in the ywc2ride, helping to keep the wheels in motion for preventing domestic violence.
The family-oriented bike ride was sponsored by the YWCA of Sonoma County, the county's main resource and safety net for domestic violence victims. The first-annual biking event offered 20-, 50-, and 100-kilometer routes for riders at all ability levels. Each route began and ended at Windsor Town Green, roaming through the beautiful rolling hills and vineyards of Dry Creek Valley.

Beginning-to-advanced bike riders from Kaiser Permanente Marin/Sonoma facilities peddled to help the YWCA thrive.
"I think it was a great success, a lot of fun, and good exercise," said 20K biker Kathryn McNally, MD, physician champion of SRF's Domestic Violence Prevention Committee. "I think it was a great way to support the YWCA and raise awareness about domestic violence."
Thanks to the Kaiser Permanente riders and their guests who supported this worthy cause, including:
