Bio

It has been very rewarding to work in alcohol and drug treatment for the last 25 years. I recieved my Ph.D. from United States International University in San Diego and I completed my post doctoral work at the Montreal General Hopital, McGill University. Prior to joining the Permanente Medical Group I had worked at the Standord Alcohol Clinic, Standord University Medical School. I was drawn in to working in Chemical Dependency field due to the missunderstanding about addiction. No one intentionally develops a drinking or drug problem. This disease is not a character problem or will power issue. Additionally, I am in awe by the the transformation of people in the recovery process.
