Bio

I truly love working as a nurse because of the diversity of the job. There are many aspects of nursing. I have done several different ones such as hospital nursing, medical surgical, ICU, ER, float nursing, recovery room, outpatient surgery, pre operative nursing and education, infusion nurse, and now chronic pain medication management.

I love being able to work with my patients educating them in many different ways. I also feel they have educated me and have helped shape me to the nurse I am today. I believe every patient is different and every symptom and or reaction is unique to them. I don't feel there are two people exactly alike. I take the time to listen to my patients. I enjoy teaching my patient new ways to manage their symptoms and I offer my support.

I find my job truly rewarding when I am able help someone manage their medications, decrease their level of pain, increase their level of function, and increase their quality of life.

I have been a nurse since 1995, and I have worked at Kaiser since April of 2002 and in the chronic pain department since October 2002.
