Bio

Since 1995 I have had the pleasure of being a nurse practitioner in the Allergy Department. It's a wonderful place to work. When you are referred to our department, I am able to learn information about you from your chart, your referring doctor, and often from a questionnaire that you fill out. I'm happy to share a little information about myself.

I was born in Ohio and spent my teenage years and early twenties in Southern California. I completed my R.N. training in Southern California in 1976 and my training as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Sonoma State University in 1981. I have worked at Santa Rosa Kaiser since 1985. I came to this facility with a special interest in preventive medicine, women's health, and family medicine. At first I specialized in Kaiser's lifestyle intervention and fitness evaluations (the L.I.F.E. Program). In 1995, I was chosen to help redesign the delivery of Family and Internal Medicine services. I worked in the newly created Family Medicine Department as well as the Allergy Department until 2004. Since then I have worked exclusively in the Allergy Department.

Living in Sonoma County stimulated my interest in allergy and respiratory-related illnesses. In 1995 I began training with Dr. Haas to evaluate and treat patients with an emphasis on respiratory disorders. I continue to enjoy working with people of all ages who are referred to this department.

I live in Sebastopol with my husband and youngest son. My older son is now in college at San Francisco State University. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, hiking, playing with my dog, and kayaking. I have been practicing Tai Chi for the past 10 years. I also enjoy cooking but I'm very happy getting "take-out" whenever it's available!!!
