Maternal Child Health Nursing

Maternal Child Health nurses have a strong commitment to women and their newborns. Labor and Delivery nurses monitor the progress of labor and support nurse midwives and obstetricians during delivery.

Mothers and newborns then spend the night across the hall from labor and delivery on 3 West. Here nurses work with a team of physicians, social workers, nutritionists and pharmacists to promote the well-being of mother and child.
