Pathology
The pathology department at Kaiser Santa Rosa Medical Center is led by board-certified pathologists who diagnose various disease processes by studying body fluids or tissue specimens taken by biopsy or surgical resection. Most common is the diagnosis of cancer, which is only made with certainty by a pathologist. However, a wide variety of pre cancerous and inflammatory conditions are also diagnosed through microscopic examination. The pathologists also oversee the clinical laboratory. We'd like to show you how the pathology department plays a vital role in your healthcare and introduce you to the personnel that deliver this high quality care.
