Bio

I was born and raised in Napa Valley, spent 20 years in San Francisco, and moved to Kaiser Santa Rosa in 1998. My work experience has ranged from jazz drummer to carpenter to classical percussionist to legal assistant to sculptor to physical therapist.

My Medical Specialty

More details about my specialty:

As a physical therapist, I get to focus on how we use our bodies and how to optimize our function and abilities. I am amazed at the variety of people in this world as well as the variety of activities which people find meaningful. My job allows me to help people continue working, to earn a living and to enjoy their personal time as well. What a cool job!

My specialty interests and affiliations within my field:

My first specialty was treatment of spine injuries, back and neck pain, and rehabilitation after surgery. I have since expanded into workplace ergonomic evaluations and presenting trainings on prevention of workplace injuries.

Interests

Healing can occur through physical treatment and activity, as well as emotionally and mentally, through our interaction with the world and people around us.

Professionaly, I work hard to understand each patient's needs and provide specific treatment and exercises to help them thrive.

Through my hobbies, I hope to contribute to positive healing environments with sound and sculpture.

Travel

An adventure I've had:

Recent travels have included Mexico (great food and great people), Italy (great history and great people) and the Czech Republic (great glass and great people).

I have wanted to visit Guatemala for many years because I hear they are great people.
