New Phone Number Prefix Coming in June

On May 27, 2008, Kaiser Santa Rosa's main campus prefix is changing from 571- to 393-. We have outgrown our current prefix and both the phone system and the voicemail system are being replaced.

This means all phone numbers that currently look like this:

(707) 571-4044

will soon need to be dialed like this:

(707) 393-4044

Our online phone directory will be updated with all of the new numbers as they go live, so all of the numbers can be easily looked up if there's any confusion.

Doctors and staff are already preparing for this change. Lots of training is being offered because, as many people are discovering, the new phones are nothing like the old ones. Chris McAdam, director, Rehabilitation Services says "If you don't go to training, bring lots of Advil to work because you're going to have a big headache,". Last January, Chris moved his team to MOB 5 where the new phones are already in use.
