Departments

If we think we need one, we can make an appointment in any department that doesn't require a referral. The psychiatry department has councelors we can talk to if we get depressed or stressed out. The chemical dependency department can help with drugs or alcohol problems. We can get referrals from our primary care doctor to see a dermatologist, get physical therapy or go to the lab to get certain tests.
Pediatrics
Pediatrics doctors see everyone who is under 19. Call or email if you're sick, need a sports physical, a sports certificate signed by your doctor, vaccinations for school or college or if you need to talk to someone about a medical issue that's bothering you.
Family Medicine Services
After you turn 19, you'll pick a primary care doctor in the Family Medicine Services (FMS) department. You can email or see your primary care doctor whenever you want.
OB/GYN
The OB/GYN department is dedicated to helping young women receive quality reproductive health care. If you are pregnant, OB/GYN can help you have a healthy pregnancy. The department also offers pregnancy termination services. All appointments regarding pregnancy prevention, testing or counseling are confidential.

Psychiatry Department: Child & Family Therapy
The child psychiatry department offers counseling to children and teens up to age 18, as well as to their families. If you are age 19 or older, you'll be seen in adult psychiatry. We offer individual, group, and family sessions as well as classes for your parents on how to help deal with any issues in your home.
Review our confidentiality rules to learn which issues can be kept strictly confidential. Parents have to be notified if you are receiving any psychiatric medications. Counseling is available for:

Chemical Dependency Services (Drugs, Alcohol & Smoking)
Sometimes peer pressure gets you involved with drugs and alcohol in a way that is harmful to you. It can affect your general health, physical growth, emotional development, and school performance. Experimenting can lead to regular or frequent use or abuse. Counselors can answer your questions and help you make safe choices about drinking and drugs.
If you or someone you know is at risk of overdosing, call 911 immediately to get help.
Departments That Require a Referral
Dermatology
As teens, acne or other skin problems are common. A dermatologist can give you medical advice for your skin, hair, and nails. They can also talk to you about how to be in the sun safely. First, talk with your primary care physician about your skin problem and they can refer you to a dermatologist if needed.
Laboratory
Some lab tests require a physician's referral. It is best to call before you drop by to check on the requirements for the test that you want to have done.
Pharmacy
You need a doctor's prescription for medications such as emergency contraceptive pills, also known as Plan B or the Morning After Pill. If you think you might need emergency contraception, call (707) 393-4033 immediately and a prescription will be given to you.
Physical Therapy
If you are recovering from an injury or surgery, your doctor may recommend physical therapy to help you regain your strength and mobility. Trained specialists will work with you to get you back in shape. There are videos you can watch to help you learn the correct way to do some exercises at home.
